HAWK RESCUE SERVICES provides event & industrial medical standby & clinics/hospitals, patient transport, Fire & Rescue services, supply checks and restocks. These services are provided to Vancouver Island, the province of BC, and Canada. HAWK RESCUE SERVICES is a small corporation and is hoping to expand over time.

On call / Casual Position
Reporting to the CEO and in some cases the CFO or the Board. The Medical Director is responsible for the quality of patient care delivered within HAWK RESCUE SERVICES, through the provision of medical oversight.
The Medical Director is responsible for providing clinical leadership and input in medical operational decisions.
The Medical Director is responsible for ensuring that approved medical policies, standards, and protocols are known and applied to the CEO, Board, and medical staff.
The Medical Director reviews existing medical policies, standards, protocols, and where necessary recommends changes or additions to those to ensure their effective applications.
The Medical Director is responsible for the clinical quality by collaborating with company leaders and quality staff.
Models behavior that engages teams and furthers the goals and objectives of the Company.
Leads relationships with other medical directors from other agency's within the province, and including medical leaders from the provincial health authorities.
Supports medical research and academic learning and activities within the company.
The Medical Director supports the development of clinical education / training directly to staff.
The Medical Director is responsible for participating in all internal investigations surrounding any and all patient care, malpractice, negligence, and providing a detailed investigation summary at the conclusion.
A physician license to practice medicine in the province of British Columbia.
A certificate of competency in emergency medicine or a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians Canada with a specialty in an acute care discipline with experience in an emergency health services.
Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in a relevant environment.
Minimum 3 years of successful leadership and / or administrative experience in a relevant health care environment, preferably emergency medicine.
